What I’m reading: Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind
What a hum drum day. Molly was in all morning, which meant she sat and stared at me for most of the morning. I tried to buy some metal for a project I am working on, and of course the place was closed, but assured me they would be open tomorrow. But I got to walmart, where I bought some chocolate and frozen pizzas. Go me.
Got an instapot in the mail today, will unpack it tomorrow when I am feeling more human.
Got 600 words down in the current WIP – so I am not going to consider today a *total* failure. But i am goign to recognize how close to the reef of failure I sailed and try to get further out in the deeper waters tomorrow.
Molly and I then did our nightly Red Rock Loop walk, it was a wet, muddy slog. But I walked really slow to give her as much time as possible. Which was good as I avoided stepping on a teenage tarantula that was most definitely confused about when to be out and about. I gather his hole filled with water and he was trekking to find a new spot, we had a short meeting of the minds, I wished him good journey and took his picture.
Going to bed early tonight, I think sleep will restore my humanity.
